Body Scrubs & Wraps

Body Scrubs & Wraps in Barbados, Delivered to Where You're Staying

A body scrub buffs away dead, dry skin with a natural exfoliant, and a body wrap follows it with a conditioning layer that leaves skin soft and calm rather than tight or stripped — the two pair naturally in one visit, though each is booked and priced on its own. TUTCH brings certified therapists, a portable table and everything needed to your villa, hotel, condo or Airbnb anywhere in Barbados, so a proper skin treatment never costs you a trip to a salon.

What a body scrub and wrap actually involve

A body scrub works a natural exfoliant over the full body by hand, lifting dead skin and buffing away the rough, flaky patches that build up from sun, salt water and everyday wear. Your therapist finishes by wiping the scrub away with warm, damp towels, leaving skin noticeably smoother straight away.

A body wrap follows a different logic: a conditioning product is applied to the skin and left to absorb for a short period, often under a light wrap, before being removed. Where a scrub's job is to take something off, a wrap's job is to put something back — moisture and a calming, conditioned finish. Book a scrub on its own, a wrap on its own, or both together for what TUTCH's menu treats as the full treatment.

Benefits, physical and mental

Physically, exfoliation improves how skin looks and feels almost immediately — smoother, more even, better able to take in lotion or sunscreen afterward rather than sitting on top of dead skin. It also helps with the dry, flaky skin that a week of sun and salt water tends to leave behind, which is why a scrub is such a common booking partway through a longer trip. The wrap step adds genuine hydration on top, leaving skin conditioned rather than just clean.

Mentally, it's a treatment people book as much for how it makes them feel as for how it leaves their skin — a slower, more indulgent session than most, with none of the firmer pressure work of a massage. Many guests describe it as the treatment they didn't expect to enjoy as much as they did, simply because so little like it happens at home.

Scrub options: coffee and sugar, or salt

Our coffee and sugar scrub, blended with lemongrass, peppermint and sweet orange, is the brighter, more invigorating option — sugar granules exfoliate gently enough for most skin types, and the citrus and mint make it feel energizing rather than relaxing, which suits a morning booking or a day you want to feel awake for.

Our salt scrub, blended with geranium and rose, uses coarser mineral crystals for a firmer exfoliation and leans into a softer, more floral finish. It suits guests who want a deeper buff, particularly on elbows, knees and heels, but isn't the gentler pick if your skin is already sensitive or sun-tender — tell your therapist and they'll adjust pressure or suggest the coffee and sugar option instead.

Booking a scrub, a wrap, or both

Scrub and wrap are two separate 30-minute services on our menu, each with its own price, and most guests who want the fuller experience book both back to back in the same visit — exfoliate first, then let the wrap's conditioning layer absorb into freshly buffed skin. There's no requirement to book both; plenty of guests choose a scrub alone before a beach day, or a wrap alone when hydration is the goal rather than exfoliation.

A scrub or wrap also pairs well with a massage booked in the same appointment, since your therapist is already set up in your space — tell us what you'd like when you book and we'll confirm timing for the combination.

Who it suits best

Guests partway through a sun-and-sand trip who want to deal with dry, flaky or salt-roughened skin are the most common booking, often timed a few days before a wedding, a photo-heavy excursion, or simply before a special dinner. It's also a popular lighter alternative for anyone who wants a genuine spa treatment without the firmer pressure of a massage.

Residents building a regular skincare routine tend to book a scrub or wrap every few weeks, often alongside a standing massage appointment, rather than saving it for a single occasion.

Who should avoid or modify a scrub or wrap

Tell us before booking if you have a recent sunburn, an open cut or wound, an active skin infection or rash, or a known allergy to any of the scrub ingredients — coffee, citrus, mint, or floral oils like geranium and rose. Your therapist will either adjust the treatment, avoid the affected area, or suggest the gentler coffee and sugar option over the coarser salt scrub.

If you're pregnant, a scrub or wrap is generally fine — mention it when you book so your therapist can adjust positioning and confirm the scent profile suits you, since some guests find strong essential oils less comfortable during pregnancy. If you've just had a wax, give freshly waxed skin at least a day to settle before a scrub over the same area, since newly waxed skin is more sensitive to exfoliation.

What's included, no upcharge

Your choice of scrub — coffee and sugar, or salt — and the full wrap application and absorption time are included at the price listed for each service, along with towels and a full wipe-down finish. As with every TUTCH service, there's no separate charge for setup, travel, or products: what you see on the menu is the full price.

Durations and pricing

Body Scrub: $190 BBD, 30 minutes. Body Wrap: $240 BBD, 30 minutes. Most guests who want the full treatment book both in the same visit, for roughly an hour combined. One price applies island-wide, with no travel surcharge regardless of where you're staying.

Setup and what to expect, start to finish

Your therapist arrives roughly thirty minutes early with a portable table, fresh towels and the scrub or wrap products you've chosen, and sets up in a comfortable, easy-to-clean spot — a covered patio, veranda, or bathroom with space to move works well, since a scrub and wrap are messier than a massage. A short consultation at the start confirms your scrub choice, checks for any skin concerns, and talks through the sequence if you've booked both services together.

After exfoliation, your therapist wipes the scrub away with warm, damp towels rather than requiring a shower, though rinsing off afterward if you have the facilities is fine too. If you've booked a wrap, the conditioning layer goes on next and is given time to absorb before being removed and wiped down. Afterward, give your skin a few minutes before dressing, since it will feel noticeably soft and may still carry a light scent from the oils used.

How often to book

Once partway through a trip is the most common booking, timed for a few days before a beach day, event, or the flight home. For an ongoing routine, every three to four weeks keeps skin in good condition without overdoing exfoliation, which is enough on its own for most skin types without additional at-home scrubbing in between.

Good for couples and groups too

A scrub or wrap works well as a shared, side-by-side booking for couples who want something lighter and more pampering than a massage, and it scales easily for larger groups — bachelorette parties and birthday trips regularly book several scrubs or wraps back to back, often alongside massages and manicures for a fuller spa afternoon.

Tell us your group size, which scrub each person wants, and your preferred timing when you book, and we'll plan therapist numbers so nobody in the group waits too long.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a body scrub and a body wrap?+

A scrub exfoliates — a natural exfoliant is worked over the skin to lift dead skin cells, then wiped away. A wrap applies a conditioning product and lets it absorb, leaving skin hydrated and calm. Many guests book both together.

What scrub options do you offer?+

A coffee and sugar scrub with lemongrass, peppermint and sweet orange, or a salt scrub with geranium and rose. The coffee and sugar option is gentler; the salt scrub exfoliates more firmly.

Can I book a scrub and a wrap in the same visit?+

Yes — most guests who want the full treatment book both back to back, exfoliating first and then letting the wrap's conditioning layer absorb into freshly buffed skin.

How long does each service take?+

A body scrub and a body wrap are each 30 minutes. Booked together, plan for roughly an hour combined.

How much does it cost?+

A body scrub is $190 BBD and a body wrap is $240 BBD, each for 30 minutes. One price applies island-wide.

Will I need to shower afterward?+

Not necessarily — your therapist wipes the scrub away with warm, damp towels as part of the service. Rinsing off afterward is fine too if you have the facilities and prefer it.

Is it safe if I have a sunburn or sensitive skin?+

Tell us before booking. Your therapist will avoid affected areas or recommend the gentler coffee and sugar scrub over the firmer salt option.

Should I book this before or after waxing?+

Give freshly waxed skin at least a day to settle before a scrub over the same area, since newly waxed skin is more sensitive to exfoliation.

Is it safe during pregnancy?+

Generally yes. Mention it when you book so your therapist can adjust positioning and check the scent profile suits you, since some guests prefer lighter oils during pregnancy.

Is it available for couples or groups?+

Yes — it's a popular side-by-side booking for couples and scales easily for larger groups. Tell us your group size, scrub preferences and timing when you book.
